How To Sharpen an Image

Often you’ll find a beautiful old family photo, only to discover that it’s blurry. In rare cases this can add to the charm of the image, but more often than not it’s a distraction. Blurry photos are also often hard to correct with photo editing software like GIMP and Photoshop, but in this tutorial I’ll show you one way of correcting a blurry image and how to sharpen only the areas you want to sharpen without increasing the noise.

That is excellent, clear and concise, I have only ever used half of the procedure, and not with these great results. I will be following this again and again until I get it set in stone in my grey matter.
